The entire experience at Nuffield was outstanding - from the receptionists to the waiting area, the staff at the radiology station, the facilities (toilet, coffee, etc.). When I received my referral to see a specialist, I was thrilled that I had the option of attending at Nuffield. It has and probably always be my first choice, with such great facilities, staff, doctors and surgeons.
During my brief stay at the Nuffield Hospital for Knee surgery, the entire team, from Reception through to the Ward staff, and Anesthetists, were so caring, considerate and professional. I cant thank them enough for their care and attention, which made the whole process a lot more bearable and comfortable than I had anticipated. I can wholeheartedly, highly recommend the Nuffield Hospital, as an excellent example of how healthcare should be done.
This is a great hospital, well maintained and I received excelelnt care during my short stay following a knee replacement operation.
In all of the pre-operation and post operation appointments, these have been very punctual and I have received excellent advice and care.
The only downside to this hospital is the parking - at peak times it can be very difficult to find a place.
care was good food was not so good
I am normally very nervous in hospitals, not used to being an in-patient,and used to feel queasy even visiting other people there! However,i found the atmosphere in the Nuffield Hospital much less stressful and relaxing than other hospitals I've seen. Also ,all the staff were polite, courteous and helpful. In addition, everywhere was clean and tidy and the accomodation and meals, first class.
I cannot fault any of the staff in this hospital, during the course of my stay (overnight) I was treated with respect and dignity at all times , staff are prepared to go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable. The cleanliness in the hospital was spot on how it should be. I enjoyed the bathroom facilities and being able to shower after my operation. The only thing that affected my overnight stay was the bed mattress. The mattress seemed to stay sunk in the shape of my body which then made it difficult to move or sleep. Mattress was extremely uncomfortable. On discharge however I found that any after Cate information I was given was not retained by myself because of the level of drugs that were in my system. It would have been helpful if the receptionist had allowed my partner to come into my room until I was ready to leave so that he could have retained after care information on my behalf.

I have just returned home from having the first of two knee replacements.
I chose this hospital and surgeon through on-line research. How fortunate for me that every part of my patient journey was five star. I gave already done a review of surgical team but I thought it only right to mention the other staff I encountered. The nurses were very professional but approachable and kind as was the physios. Rena. Jasmine, Rachel, Lindy, Nicky. Also John, exceptional night nurse. So calm and gentle. Sorry if I've missed your name but Evelyn Ward should be proud of the exceptional care that they give. The meal service was fantastic
Very kind ladies as was the domestic lady. The whole environment was welcoming. What could be improved? Well there is always room for improvement but at the moment I am glad they are doing what they are doing. Thank you for looking after me. I will be back very soon.
A caring clean well staffed hospital. Everything one would expect from a well run organisation. It is an example of what an English hospital SHOULD be. One pays for what you get and Nuffield provides.
The whole experience for coming into the hospital to have my spinal surgery was absolutely amazing. From the morning I came in to meet the lovely receptionist who took me to my room, then all the nurses and catering staff, not to mention the most kind and compassionate Mr Laing were all looked after me. Thank you all! X
